On December 18th, 2012, the Applied Research and Communications Fund, Еnterprise Europe Network – Bulgaria and the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism with the support of the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria organised the Eighth National Innovation Forum "Innovation and Competitiveness".

The Applied Research and Communications Fund, Еnterprise Europe Network – Bulgaria and the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism with the support of the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria are organizing the Eighth National Innovation Forum "Innovation and Competitiveness".
At the Forum the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rossen Plevneliev will present the Innovative Bulgarian Enterprise of the Year Awards.

In 2010 the European Commission adopted its "Europe 2020" strategy as an important tool for finding solutions for competitiveness and innovation capabilities of the European economy, climate change, limited energy resources, aging and health. Bulgaria made ambitious commitments by adopting the National Reform Programme (2010-2013), including measures in the field of innovation for reaching the R&D investment target of 1.5% of GDP in 2020, coupled with a better business environment.

The Applied Research and Communications Fund, the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria and the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism organized the Seventh National Innovation Forum entitled Innovation and Competitiveness.The Forum was held on May 17, 2011 under the auspices of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Boyko Borisov, with the support of Enterprise Europe Network – the largest European network for providing information and consultancy services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
» Policy Forum “e-Bulgaria: Toward ICT Development via Research-Based Policies",
On 30 July 2010, the Applied Research and Communications Fund supported by the German Marshall Fund/Bulgaria Fund organized a policy forum entitled e-Bulgaria: Toward ICT Development via Research-Based Policies. The forum was dedicated to using adequate and reliable indicators for the penetration and usage of information and communication technologies (ICT) when developing policies and assessing their impact.
» CIVISTI Expert and Stakeholder Workshop Aimed at Developing Policy Recommendations Based on Citizen Visions for the Future of Science Technology and Innovation,
From June 14 th to 16 th, ARC Fund hosted an expert and stakeholder workshop as part of the CIVISTI project. The experts and stakeholders present included natural and social scientists, policy-analysts, and researchers in public and private research institutes that are involved in research policy making and implementation.

On March 01, 2010 the Applied Research and Communications Fund, Enterprise Europe Network – Bulgaria, the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism , and the World Bank Mission to Bulgaria organised the Sixth National Innovation Forum under the auspices of the Prime Minster of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Boyko Borissov.

» “Think B4 U Post” campaign started with a SID 2010 round-table,
On February 9, the Bulgarian Safer Internet Centre, co-ordinated by ARC Fund, announced officially the start of the pan-European campaign “Think B4 U Post” at a round table in the Press club of the Bulgarian News Agency, co-organized jointly with Microsoft Bulgaria and the State Agency for Child Protection.
