Professor Teodora Georgieva
Professor Georgieva has 18 years of experience as a university lecturer. She holds a PhD in the field of innovation and is currently a Professor of Innovation Management, Project Management and Strategic Management. Professor Georgieva is the Vice Rector of the International Business School, in Botevgrad, Bulgaria. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing strategic and programme documents at national, regional and business levels, including in the field of sustainable innovation, technology transfer and life-long learning.
Professor Teodora Georgieva has been a senior fellow at the Applied Research and Communications Fund since 2008. She coordinates the work on the annual Innovation.bg report and takes part in the implementation of a number of EU projects under FP6 and FP7. These projects are in the fields of innovation policy and the development of national science and technology policy related documents such as the National Science Scoreboard of Bulgaria, the Innovation Promotion Law, the Regional Innovation Strategy for the South-West Region of Bulgaria, the Annual Reports on the Bulgarian National Innovation Policy in 2006 and 2007. Her main projects include: ‘Inter Regional Cooperation for Valorisation of Research Results’; ‘Enhancing Bulgaria’s Competitiveness through Innovation’, ‘A Study on the Trends in Public and Private Investments in ICT R&D in Bulgaria and Romania’, and ‘The Contribution of Policies at the Regional Level to the Realization of the European Research Area’. Ms. Georgieva participates in the work of the Expert Council on Innovation at ARC Fund. In this role, she works on the preparation of analyses of the national innovation policy and the development of the national innovation potential. She is an IRCA/IATCA Certified Expert and Lead Auditor of QMS (Quality Management Systems ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 19011).
